General settings (editor)
Beyond the scene types, the editor gives you control over how the timeline is shown, plus timing, text, audio, and the overall video.
Timeline modes: Scenes vs Full
Section titled “Timeline modes: Scenes vs Full”The timeline has two views, switched with the Scenes / Full toggle above the timeline. Both edit the same video; they differ in how much freedom you have over where elements sit.
Scenes mode — guided, no overlaps
Section titled “Scenes mode — guided, no overlaps”- All visual scenes share one track. Avatars, locations, images, and parallax shots sit side by side in order on a single visual lane — they’re clearly separated blocks that cannot overlap. One thing is on screen at a time, which keeps the story clean and easy to reorder.
- Audio and text can still span across scenes. A voiceover, background-music track, or caption can run across several scenes at once — so narration or music can carry over multiple photos while the visuals stay neatly sequenced.
- Reorder by dragging a scene; change its length by dragging its edge; use Split / Clone / Delete on the selected scene.
Full mode — free-form, unlimited tracks
Section titled “Full mode — free-form, unlimited tracks”- Place any element anywhere. Elements are positioned freely on the timeline — they can start at any time, and they can overlap and layer on top of each other.
- Unlimited tracks, mixed types. Add as many tracks as you like and mix element types on any track — images, videos, audio, avatars, text, and more — stacking and overlapping however you need (e.g. an avatar over a background video, two visuals crossfading, a caption on top).
- This is the mode for fine control: line a caption up with a spoken line, offset the music, or link one element’s timing to a specific edge of another.
See Scenes vs Full modes for a side-by-side comparison, Elements & scene types for every element you can add, and Positioning & layering to stack them.
Timing & arrangement
Section titled “Timing & arrangement”- Trim / duration — drag an item’s edge, or set an exact duration in its panel.
- Reorder — drag scenes along the timeline.
- Split, cut, clone, delete the selected item.
- Groups — related items (e.g. a photo and its motion) move together so timing stays in sync.
Transitions
Section titled “Transitions”Add fades or slides between scenes for smooth cuts.
Add a headline or caption, then set its font, size, colour, and position. Captions can be toggled per video — see Voices.
Orientation
Section titled “Orientation”Choose landscape (16:9) or portrait (9:16) to match where you’ll post. The editor frames avatars, maps, captions, and photos correctly for the chosen orientation.
Branding
Section titled “Branding”Your logo (from Branding) is applied automatically; you can adjust or remove it on a given video here.
Saving
Section titled “Saving”- Save / render applies your edits and produces the updated video.
- Edit as new keeps the original and makes a separate copy.
