Video pricing & limits
Roxybit videos are billed by what you generate — the scenes and narration in the video — and drawn from your plan’s monthly credit allowance. Your plan sets your allowance; it does not restrict which resolutions or scene types you can use.
You always see an estimated cost before you generate, and a final cost once the video is produced.
What each scene costs
Section titled “What each scene costs”| Scene | Rate |
|---|---|
| Avatar (presenter to camera) | $4.00 / min |
| Location (animated map) | $4.00 / min |
| Parallax (moving photo) | $2.00 flat per shot |
| Voiceover narration (no avatar) | $1.00 / min |
| Plain elements (stills, text, uploaded clips) | first minute free, then $1.00 / min |
- Avatar and location scenes are metered in 30-second steps ($2.00 per 30s).
- Every video has a minimum charge of $2.00.
Resolution
Section titled “Resolution”You can render at 720p, 1080p, 2K, or 4K on any plan. Higher resolutions cost more because they take more to produce:
| Resolution | Cost multiplier |
|---|---|
| 720p | ×1 |
| 1080p | ×1 |
| 2K | ×2 |
| 4K | ×3 |
(Parallax shots scale a little more gently at 4K.) Pick resolution in the video’s settings before rendering.
Other factors
Section titled “Other factors”- Priority rendering (skip to the front of the queue) adds a small flat surcharge.
- Re-using a cached result (e.g. re-rendering an unchanged avatar line) refunds roughly a third of that scene’s cost automatically.
- Auto-detect rooms (Quick Video) costs $0.10 per run of up to 20 photos. Photos already detected are free, and if no photo could be detected you aren’t charged.
Worked examples
Section titled “Worked examples”A couple of things to keep in mind before the numbers:
- Avatar and location scenes round up to the next 30 seconds. A 15-second avatar and a 20-second avatar are each billed as one 30-second block ($2.00) — the meter doesn’t combine them.
- Plain runtime is your photos, text, and captions added together, with the first minute free, then $1.00 per started minute. Background music is included in that plain runtime — it doesn’t add a charge of its own.
Example 1 — short listing video (1080p)
Section titled “Example 1 — short listing video (1080p)”A ~30s avatar intro, a ~30s location scene, and one parallax hero photo:
| Item | Cost |
|---|---|
| Avatar 30s | $2.00 |
| Location 30s | $2.00 |
| Parallax shot | $2.00 |
| Total | $6.00 |
Example 2 — mixed video with photos & music (1080p)
Section titled “Example 2 — mixed video with photos & music (1080p)”A 15s avatar intro → 20s location scene → 6 plain photos (~90s total) with background music → a 20s avatar close:
| Item | How it’s billed | Cost |
|---|---|---|
| Avatar 15s | rounds up to one 30s block | $2.00 |
| Location 20s | rounds up to one 30s block | $2.00 |
| Avatar 20s (close) | rounds up to one 30s block | $2.00 |
| 6 photos ≈ 90s + background music | first 60s free, remaining ~30s → 1 started minute | $1.00 |
| Total | $7.00 |
If those 6 photos ran to 60s or less, the plain runtime would be fully covered by the free first minute and that line would be $0.00 (total $6.00).
Totals depend on your exact scenes; the on-screen estimate is always the source of truth. See Plans for allowances and Video modes for the ways to make a video.
